Computer-Assisted Music Instruction Laboratory (CAMIL)
Music education is no formal and aloof process these days; it’s hands-on and interactive. To assure you have access to—and know how to effectively use—the latest technological tools, CAMIL is loaded with equipment, programs, and documentation plus the faculty and staff to help you find your way around the work stations and music software. You might use the lab to develop your aural skills or to design some special music notation. In conjunction with CAMIL half a dozen courses train future music educators to take advantage of multimedia, technology-based music instruction. You can interact not only online but also with live K-12 music teachers. You can learn both the theory and practical applications of using music software and hardware for teaching theory, choral, general, and instrumental music. For more information visit the CAMIL web page.
