Percussion (Graduate)

Applicants for the M.M. degree or D.M.A. degree must perform one major solo in each of the following instrumental areas: Snare Drum (concert style), Mallet-keyboard percussion (marimba, vibraphone, or xylophone), Timpani, Multiple-Percussion (an audio recording and score of a recent performance will satisfy this requirement), and Drum Set (a demonstration of time-keeping in contrasting styles will suffice on drum set; a prepared solo is not required). Each applicant must also demonstrate sight-reading ability on snare drum and marimba.

The School of Music will provide instruments for the audition.

Applicants seeking financial aid in the form of an assistantship or fellowship must audition on-campus
